Spring Has Sprung
The other day I was looking in the mirror and could not get over how drab my face looked. It’s Spring time and I should be rosy and cheerful looking! I promptly decided that I needed to treat myself to a little make-up pick me up. Normally, I buy all of my make-up at Target or RiteAid, but decided ths time to venture to the MAC counter. I like MAC make-up, www.maccosmetics.com, and have to give the sales people props because they literally wear ALL OF THE PRODUCTS ON THEIR FACE AT THE SAME TIME!! The girl who helped me had lime green glitter eyeshadow up to her eyebrows!! I ended up settling on a very pretty lipgloss called Moistly Lipgelee. Even thoguth the colors are SUPER 80’s BRIGHT in the tube they look really natural on. I see myself investing in more of the Lipgelee (said in a horrible french accent).

Business Cards
I’m very excited, this week I found out that I get to order myself business cards. The business card thing is new to me, I’ve never really had a job before that warranted me having business cards. Other than just being fancy, this job doesn’t really warrant me having business cards either. Even so, I was feeling quite sassy with my business cards until I found out that EVERYBODY, including kids, have business (play date) cards. These play date cards from Felix Doolittle, www.felixdoolittle.com, are kind of cute, but maybe a tad extravegant for a child? Maybe I’m just jealous that mine don’t come with a ballerina or race car picture.
Sidenote: It’s funny that the first thing that my husband said when he found out I was getting business cards was “now you can enter to win free sandwiches in the leave a business card bowl.” Um….not exactly what I had in mind, but truthfully that’s probably where most of my cards will end up.

Deal Breaker
The NY Times Article, It’s Not You, It’s Your Apartment, made me laugh this morning.
“Spring is here and the restaurants will soon be filled with anxious and hopeful couples, ordering wine, dusting off their most luminous lies, thinking they might finally have found love. Then they will see their dates’ homes for the first time. And suddenly some of them will realize that they cannot be with this person a moment longer.”
