BYOB=Bring Your Own Bags
Finally, I remembered to put my re-useable Trader Joe bag’s into my car. They are quite nice too, covered in red Hawaiian print! I bought them about a month and a half ago and keep forgetting to bring them with me when I shop. A lot of grocery stores in Canada are now charging shoppers 5 cents for plastic bags. As an incentive, Trader Joe’s puts your name into a grocery giveaway every time you bring your own bags. It’s funny, when we visited my parent’s in Canada during Christmas, my husband was shocked that a grocery store would CHARGE for plastic bags. HOW DARE THEY? I think it makes sense. No household needs 10 bazillion plastic bags!!! I wonder how long it will take me to remember that they are in my car.

Vintage Flowers
This weekend before meeting friends for brunch, I popped into Paper-Source in Pasadena, www.paper-source.com. They have tons of gorgeous hand-made paper and craft kits, making it one of my favorite stores. Since lately I have been Miss Crafty, I decided to try one of the flower kits. They are surprisingly easy to construct and look lovely in a bunch. I will post photos upon flower completion. Next time I want to try the Orchid Flower kit. All I can say is “yippee for polka dot flowers that won’t die!!!”
